Founded in 1870, the Ohio State University, often referred to as Ohio State, is a public institution with a total enrollment of just over 65,000 students. Ohio State is located along the Olentangy River in urban Columbus, Ohio, and covers over 1,500 acres of academic buildings, a massive athletic complex, and an award-winning medical school.
